Want to try a new form of exercise? How about trying seated Yoga? Led by dedicated volunteers, this free exercise class is open to all seniors every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Seated yoga is a gentle form of exercise, designed to increase flexibility and balance and help reduce stress.
Every Monday and Friday morning at 10 a.m., a group plays Mah Jongg. Two Mah Jongg sets are available for anyone who would like to come any weekday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. New players are always welcome.
Cribbage, Scrabble, Mexican Train, Rummikub and other games are available for people to enjoy at their leisure, as well as a collection of books, magazines and jigsaw puzzles. Or just come to the center to visit with friends at your "home away from home". We'd love to see you here!
Birthdays are celebrated at the monthly Pot Luck Luncheons at either our Meal Site (Maple Street Park) or the Center at 2 Lincoln Street. For our members, Pot Lucks are free with a dish to pass or $4 if no dish. Non-members pay $1 with a dish to pass and $5 if no dish. If you like to play bridge, come to the Center any Monday or Wednesday from 12:30-3:30 for table bridge. Make new friends as you rotate tables and play with different partners and opponents throughout the afternoon. Duplicate Bridge is played on Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00 in the back room. Bridge tournaments are held in the spring and fall. If you are already part of a bridge group and you are looking for a place to play, please call the center and inquire about available space.
Come play Penny Bingo Tuesdays from 12:30-3:30. Every card costs a penny, so if you play 10 cards, each game costs a dime. If 20 games are played in an afternoon, your total for the afternoon would be $3.00. Nobody goes broke and nobody gets rich, but everyone has a good time as the tension mounts each game until a lucky person yells "BINGO!"
Come and join the newest exercise program at EASC! For all levels of fitness, Jazzercise Lite combines dance, yoga, pilates, and strength training for an hour of laughter and health. Jazzercise Lite on Tuesdays from 8:00AM - 9:00AM and Strength 45 on Tuesdays from 9:15-10:00 with certified Jazzercise instructor Kit Sayers. 1st class come early and fill out participation form. A ten-visit punch pass is $30.00 for Center members, $35.00 for non-members, and $6.00 per class for walk-ins. Visit the center to register.
